As-built, sheet by sheet

Plumbing that disappears into slabs, walls and mechanical rooms, laid back out.

Five of Apex's own installs, from a warehouse slab to a kitchen sink. Once the concrete is poured or the drywall is up, nobody sees this work again, which is exactly why it has to be right.

Radiant PEX heating loops laid across a warehouse floor before the concrete pour

Sheet M-101 · Radiant slab

A warehouse floor, looped before the pour

Serpentine radiant PEX loops laid across an entire warehouse floor, every run headed back to its manifold. After the slab goes down the layout is permanent, so loop spacing and routing are settled first. Apex designs and installs radiant heat for homes, businesses and warehouses.

Two commercial water heaters and a water softener with insulated piping in a mechanical room

Sheet M-102 · Mechanical room

Commercial water heaters, piped and insulated

Twin commercial water heaters with a water softener, the supply and return piping insulated along the wall and overhead. Boilers and commercial-size water heaters are core commercial work for Apex, together with the gas and air piping that feeds the equipment.

Green painted piping risers with copper branches, valves and a pump in a commercial mechanical room

Sheet M-103 · Risers

Risers, branches and the pump on its pad

Painted risers, copper branches, isolation valves and a pump on a housekeeping pad: the part of a building nobody looks at until something stops. On the mechanical side Apex installs hydronic heating, chillers, VAV boxes and fan coil units as well as the plumbing.

Green emergency shower and eye wash station installed on an exterior wall of a commercial building

Sheet P-201 · Eye wash

An emergency shower plumbed while the build carries on

A combination emergency shower and eye wash station set on an exterior wall while work continues overhead on the lift. Eye wash stations sit on Apex's commercial list next to new water service, waste lines and sump pump systems.

Stainless farmhouse kitchen sink with a pull-down faucet under a window

Sheet P-301 · Kitchen

The fixture everyone does see

A farmhouse sink and pull-down faucet set under a kitchen window. The service department handles faucets and sinks, garbage disposals, toilets, water heaters, leaks and water or sewer line repipes for homes across the valley.

What Apex does

Commercial, industrial and residential plumbing, and the mechanical piping behind it.

Each kind of work has its own page with the detail: what tends to go wrong, how the crew handles it, and what to do next.

Job note · New business space · Yakima Valley

The smell came back months later. So did the crew, until they found it.

“I hired Apex to install new plumbing in my new business space. Despite a few obstacles, they got the job done! A few months later, we noticed some unpleasant smells. The Apex team came back multiple times over the next few weeks, determined to solve the problem. It turned out to be a loose fitting under the floorboards, which they fixed promptly. Their persistence and dedication to resolving the issue were impressive and appreciated!”
Karissa · Google review, 5 stars
“Best hourly rates of any plumbers in town! RJ and Alex installed a couple high-end toilets with smart bidets in no time. These experts were polite, clean, and helpful. Plus, Emily scheduled my job right away and could not have been nicer. I will use Apex from now on for any of my plumbing needs and nobody asked me to write this review!”
Ruth Stoneman · Google, 5 stars

Ryan McNett · Owner and general manager

From journeyman to owner

Ryan started at Apex as a journeyman plumber in 2001. Ten years later he owned it.

Plumbing was meant to be a summer job after high school. It became the career: seven years at Bock Plumbing, then Apex in 2001, a management role by the end of that first year and general manager a couple of years later.

He joined Apex's six-owner group and in 2011 took full ownership. Today he still runs everything from estimating jobs to managing the crew, and says the relationships with clients matter more than anything else.

Questions

Before you call the office

Not sure what the problem is? Call (509) 575-0148 and talk it through with a plumber. Consultations are free.

Both. Apex plumbs single-family homes, duplexes and condominiums as well as retail stores, shopping malls, office buildings, hotels, restaurants, warehouses, manufacturing plants and universities. A 15-person commercial team handles the large jobs, and the service department takes residential calls.

City codes require backflow testing to be completed every year. Backflow preventers can also get damaged unexpectedly, and water exposed to backflow is unsafe to drink, so a yearly test keeps the building in compliance and the water safe. Apex has a certified backflow assembly tester who tests residential and commercial assemblies.

The Yakima office at 12 South 3rd Avenue is open Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Call (509) 575-0148 to reach the 24/7 service team for an emergency outside those hours.
